9 East Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701 • 301-663-1036

Its authenticity unmatched, Sabor de Cuba crashes the emerging Frederick dining scene with aromas and flavors that evoke the island's rich culinary heritage. Owners Irieska Caetano and Angel Gattorno bring enthusiasm and vision to their cozy new digs in the heart of the downtown area. As chef, Gattorno draws on closely held family recipes to enhance a menu of traditional Cuban favorites. Dine in a family-friendly environment where the service is as first class as the meal itself.

Simple food, complex flavors. Is such a thing even possible?
At Sabor de Cuba, we think yes.

About the artwork
Artwork on the website and displayed in the restaurant is the work of acclaimed Cuban artist Antonio Gattorno, widely recognized as one of the founders of Cuba's Modernist Movement. Gattorno painted in studios in France, Italy and the United States, was a contemporary of Ernest Hemingway and John Dos Passos, and, before his death in 1980, played an important part in the development of a national identity in Cuban painting. He was a distant cousin of Sabor de Cuba chef Angel Gattorno.
